The spaceDue to piping distances from the septic system, the hook-ups are more suited motorhomes as they are "on the left" as you enter the RV spot. For bumper pulls RVs you need to pull in forward to put the door and hookups in the proper place. There is a gate in front of the site that allows the tow vehicle to pull out but it must be coordinated with the renters of the back house as you will need to access their parking area while you pull out.
THERE IS NO BATHROOM. Disgregard the 1 bedroom and bathroom, despite a campsite designation the force the addition of a bathroom and bedroom. You MUST have an RV to book.
Additional notesEastern Washington can have very severe weather and is a rugged place. It is not uncommon for the air to be smoky, sometimes extremely smoky during wildfire season. Wildfire season seems to be getting longer and longer each year but typically late July through mid September are the most concerning. We do not specifically refund for weather and smoky conditions.

Getting aroundGeneral Store/Gas/Pizza:
The property is just around the corner from the commercial amenities. The store has most everything you should need if you forgot something...or everything. Phoenix Pizza is a great place to get food and drinks, they have small indoor seating but a good sized back patio. Sunland is a tough place to run a business, expect hours, crowds and service to be hit and miss. Overall it's a great place to give a try.
Riverfront Park:
About 4 blocks away, south one block to Community and 3 towards the river is a grassy riverfront park. The park is massive with sprawling grass lawns and shade trees. The kids play structure, basket ball and volleyball courts are available. Pool and tennis courts are for owners only. Port a potty's are available.
Rattle Snake Cove:
As you drove down the hill final switchback you passed a small, public beach access park. Nice little park if it's not crowded.
Beach with actual rattle snakes:
At the very north end of Sunland there is a trailhead that leads to a beautiful sandy beach...if the water is down. If the water is up there will be no beach, nothing! Be careful of rattle snakes anywhere in Sunland but especially here. Pay attention and make lots of noise heading down trail, they'll steer clear. If you hear one, make more noise and move away from the sound. It's super loud you can't miss it. It's not common to see them, but it's also not uncommon! IF the water is down AND you're willing to make the journey the huge sandy beaches get the best and longest evening sun of any beach and you'll likely be finding the locals on there boats here the the last slice of sun crests the hills.
Boat Launch:
You passed the boat launch on the way in, just past Rattle Snake Cove park. This is a Wa State Game boat launched and is semi primitive. Two fairly wide ramps with no docks. Parking is an unmarked gravel lot. You'll need a Discover Pass and pay attention to the line and parking.
Gorge Amphitheater:
The amphitheater is about a 5 mile drive from the property.
Shuttle:
There is usually a shuttle available. Book early if it's a popular show as they frequently book up. IF you check out Rent the Gorge select shuttle for the number.
